Today, my friend and I were seeing a movie. We ended up sitting next to a man who was continually laughing, clapping, and bouncing up and down on his seat. Extremely annoyed, we turned to him and told him to "shut the fuck up". Turns out he had downs syndrome and ran out of the theater crying. FML

Why would your first course of action be to tell someone to "shut the **** up"? I agree with #3.

You know when people get asked nicely to shut up? When the ad comes on at the beginning of the movie that tells you to shut up and turn your cell phones and pagers off. I don't think I've ever been to a theater where they didn't have one of those. Would have done the same thing.

Show it anyway

#15 - The start of the movie asks you only to turn your phones off. And how many people do you think are going to listen to you screaming "STFU" rather than asking politely? Someone who's arrogant enough to talk loudly through a movie is more likely going to laugh in your face and tell you to go to hell if you start screaming at them, rather than asking like a normal person. People like you just go through life looking for things to be angsty about and are seldom happy.

you should consider looking at the person before engaging your mouth...your brain would have told you something was different...
