Today, my friend came over with brownies as a treat before work. She works in a bakery so I thought it was lovely. After starting work, I became stoned. She thought it was a great prank. I was fired. FML

Today, I baked some regular brownies for my friend. Just to mess with him, after he ate some, I said they had weed in them. He trashed my room in anger, and still won't believe me when I tell him that I didn't actually slip him any drugs. FML

Today, I baked some brownies and after my mom ate one, I joked that I put weed in them. Turns out the placebo effect's a bitch, because she quickly started acting high as a kite. One bitch fit later, the brownies are in the trash and I'm grounded until I tell her where I bought the "weed". FML

Today, I made brownies for my co-workers. My boss called me into his office, and I though he was going to compliment me on the baking. Instead, he talked about how his 5-year-old daughter can make brownies better than me. FML

Today, I told the coworker who sits next to me that I don't smoke weed anymore, after she brought a spliff to work. I then got called into the directors' boardroom to receive a warning for smelling like marijuana at work. I was only allowed one more warning before they were due to fire me. FML

Ugh. I guess I can't really know what your friendship is like -- whether it's worth dealing with shit like this -- but if I were you I'd probably be questioning that right about now. I swear, there are people on this site who make me think the definition of "friend" must have changed without my being informed. You understand that a friend is someone who wants to make your life better, right? Someone who cares about your well-being? OP's not even the worst case. Sheesh.

if your friend is a pothead then you should have known to be skeptical of her brownies. it sucks you got fired and it's really not your fault, but I can't blame your employer... coming to work stoned is pretty bad and it would be hard for them to believe you that it wasn't your fault and won't happen again.

sound like you need new friends OP. Maybe it's time yo rethink THIS friendship. you could also pursue legal recourse due to being fired... loss of wages, permanent work record, and so on. So sorry a so called friend thought it would be funny to ruin your life!
