Yah, clubs aren't really the place to catch up. Their noise level and crowdedness isn't exactly conducive to conversation. You can go out and have a lot of fun with friends at them, and that fun often involves making out with strangers for some. However if the goal is to connect or reconnect with someone, you're better off getting coffee.

You could have shot footage with your phone to show her the next day when she sobered up. XD I'd probably just read stuff on my phone to kill time and get her home safe. However, there would be no more going out to "catch up" in the future.

I know the feeling, OP. I had to wait while my friend had sex with the DJ in the DJ booth at a bar just after closing. I had to get whole of our ride and walked in and she was pissed. I refuse to go out to bars alone with her now. sorry this happened to you and hopefully you two can work past it, whatever that means for you.
