Today, my friends and I spent a little too long enjoying a beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean. We spent the next 3 hours lost in a pitch black jungle with only one pocket-sized flashlight. FML

So you knew you were in a fairly remote area and that nightfall would approach sometime, and you didn't plan ahead at all and brought only a flashlight? Sounds reasonable.

OP your so lucky to be alive. Be happy and consider this a story to tell to your future grandkids. I know what a near death experience feels like. I was in a car accident on the 4th of July this year that almost had me left for dead. A hit and run car accident. Our car swerved to the dirt road, went 6ft in the air then flipped over 3 times leaving my dad and I trapped upside down inside our car on the 210 freeway. I thought our car was on fire.

#35 Thank you. #53 Trust me it's no fun being upside down in a car.

Well you made it out alive for this post...did you find Sasquatch at all?

**** the flashligh, itll upset the predators in the tree

You're not afraid of the dark are you?? *Vin Diesel voice*

#36 awesome quote for that... the puppy picture just makes it even funnier... lol OP, sorry for your situation but atleast you get an hilarious story to tell to your friends and family. fyl.

its ok op it happens you just got lost in the moment. next time you guys should bring your own flashlights and make sure they are heavy duty :) good story in the future

"Dave? Is that you? Oh thank God Dave, thought I had lost you. Wait...Dave doesn't have...fur...YOU'RE NOT DAVE." -End

Can't you swim? How big is Guam, anyway?

OK, I looked it up. It seems there are 2 million snakes on the island. Have fun :)

I'm originally from Guam and this argument is blown way out of proportion. Sure there are snakes but really? Millions? I call BS. Besides, what makes my home any different from the mainland having poisonous ones? Oh that's right, Brown tree snakes aren't poisonous! Jeez America, learn more, especially about territories that belong to you.

Always be prepared. People under estimate how quickly things can get out of hand.

That's why I never leave home without my flamethrower, back up flamethrower, back up to my backup flamethrower, shotgun, pistol, silver dagger, two hundred feet of steel cable, twenty twist ties, two bags of candy, three cellphones, bottle of dead mans blood, a pint of salt, three gold coins taken from the pocket of a dead man, Eye of Neut, GPS and extra batteries. Oh and my trusty lamp (just in case I meet an old lamp salesman who is willing to trade a new one for that old dusty one he happens to have). I tried carrying more but it wouldn't fit. I'm unprepared I know, but the rest is at one of my thirty bomb shelters... One man can only carry so much. When the unexpected strikes, I will be ready.
