that sucks op. I bet every thing that I have, that even if it broke down within the warranty date that you would still would have been stiffed with the bill. because warranty's are bullshit! best of luck.
That's what I call perfect engineering. The thing was designed to break right after the warranty ended. Always keep the customer coming back for more.
timing is everything
This is why i play minecraft...
I totally understand this!! Mine did the same thing right after the warrenty expired. I cried and cried. I'm not made of money. This kind of luck happens alot to me. I paid off my Jeep and 10 days later this girl turned in front of me. She was looking the other direction. She didn't have insurance, a license, and it wasn't her car. My Jeep was totaled out and the doctor said no permanent damage to both my knees that had gone into th dash. Right...So what do you call knees that ache/hurt when the weather changes and I can't wear heals to dress up? Yeah...
And that's why the warranty wasn't any longer... Because they know when the thing will puke! FYL
You've got that right. It's called "planned obsolescence" and it's done on purpose. It's claimed another victim. :(
That's some amazing planned obsolescence by the company that designed it... Find the silver lining op.
Furnace?
The smart thing to do would have been to wait until about a week before the warranty and claim it broke so you can get a new one, and it will last longer, due to it being an updated model and it having no wear and tear!
Actually, lying about something being broken so you can get a warranty replacement would be the _dishonest_ thing to do, not the smart thing to do. (Breaking it yourself for that reason would also be dishonest).
It's how they make money.

it always works the way, things break right after the warranty is up.
Murphy's law.
