For all those saying 3 years and you didnt have sex. Isn't it a good thing he didnt **** the girl? It would suck losing your virginity to a person who never cared. This girl could have been cheating from the very begining. A relationship is not about sex only. It's a nice thing that comes with it but theres more to it then sex.

Finally, someone I agree with. He just saved himself from making another type of connection to a cheating scumbag. She still would've cheated if the were having sex, because she didn't actually care about him anyway. He also saved himself from being pulled into the whole, "who I'd rather have as my baby's daddy" issue. Way to go for waiting, OP. You saved yourself from even more heartache.

'It would suck losing your virginity to a person who never cared.' Yeah, but the point is, he thought she cared. And if you're in a relationship with someone who cares about you, sex is a nice thing. Now, after this whole story, OP can be glad he didn't make love to someone who didn't love him, but 'my girlfriend who I love sincerely might end up as a douchebag' is not a very good excuse for not having sex.

@51 most first relationships end one way or another. he didnt do himself any favours by waiting, and just fyi, you dont know how much she cared about him, nor whether she would cheat. 3 years is a long time to have to wait for someone, and whether shes an intelligent moral person or not doesnt impact on whether or not she cared about him. who in their right mind would stay with someone for 3 years without sex if they didnt care?

Personally I don't believe in waiting, but I respect other people's choices. It's their choice, not yours, #56. In an FML a while ago, a guy who cheated and was hospitalized from his ex-girlfriends was told he should have gotten worse by pretty much everyone (save for very few people), and over here most people say "You're a pussy" and "Well, you weren't satisfying her". OP, if you can forgive her and you think she's worth it, have a talk with her- just remember she definitely has a lot to make up for. If it's something you can never get past, leave her and move on.
