I don't get the FML here. She doesn't want to be with you, it sucks sure. However, the response after you said that is expected from her.
LOL. honestly, I think those two FMLs came from the same ex-couple.
hahaha does this one go w/ the one below it??
If it's something you need to say, you have every right to say it. How she feels when she hears it is her own problem and her own responsibility. That aside, if it's not working for her there's no point saving the relationship is there?
Well he has the right to say. She has the right not to want to listen. I remember breaking up with one girl (I didn't dislike her, but we had nothing in common, I just didn't enjoy going out with her) and she kept asking me why I wasn't prepared to try...
...so...what? Welcome to every breakup ever. This is by far the worst FML I have ever read- "Today, my life was just like everyone elses. FML" Who moderated this?! Post this garbage somewhere else, like mylifeisaverage.com.
Nah, the mylifeisaverage.com posts are usually actually funny. This is just someone talking. Not an FML. "Today, my girlfriend broke up with me. I tried to guilt her into staying with her by telling her how much I cared about her, and she told me to stop guilting her. FML." Maybe that's why she's breaking up with you? YDI for trying to guilt trip her, and calling it "trying to save the relationship." Honestly, even if she had somehow taken you back after almost breaking up with you because you tell her you care about her (if that could possibly work), how long do you think the relationship would last? You'd always know she didn't really like you that much, and wonder when she was going to do it for real. Verdict: Not an FML, doesn't deserve to be on this site. But if it did, it would be a YDI.
Sack up and get over it dude. I understand being upset over it but the fact you thought to make this an FML makes me think you should try your hand in getting a boyfriend next time, the closet is a terrible place to stay when trying to get over a girl
She did the right thing. Suppose she did give you a chance to speak and you gave the speech of lifetime and prevented the break-up. Do you think you really altered the final outcome of your relationship?
Will you all just shut up? God, this site is full with idiots who cannot read. Seriously, what if your loved one broke up with you, of course you'd try to save the relationship if you really cared about him/her. And the girl deserved to feel bad. She made OP feel bad, OP tried to save the relationship, but in the end, made her feel bad. I don't think OP was thinking about guilt trips at the time when the girl broke up with him. And you, the ones who are saying that this isn't a FML, shut the **** up. What, now you all are FML experts or something? IT DOESN'T MATTER! If it's posted on this site, it is a FML. Period.

... Oh my goodness... SirAwesome!? Is that you!? It's me, DrAwesome! We went to Awesome High together, remember? Wow, how are things with you? Heh, looks like you're first. Some things never change, eh? You really should call more often, we could get the whole Awesome gang together and go... bowling or something, yeah? Good luck with being a knight, or whatever the "sir" means. I'm a doctor, and, well... It kinda speaks for itself how awesome my life is. But we really should catch up, man.
Most boring FML ever, this is just a typical break up scenario?
