This sounds fake. If yall had a serious relationship, I would assume you would already know her father was dead, so she wouldn't say that. If you didn't know her father was dead, then either you were the most inattentive boyfriend ever and you deserved it, or yall hadn't been dating for very long at all, and in that case it's not much of a FML.
