Today, my girlfriend got her period. It seemed more painful for her than usual, so I offered to go out and buy some painkillers and maybe some chocolate for her. She thought I was being sarcastic and slapped me so hard I saw stars. FML

I have a real problem with women who use their period as an excuse to start hitting. They're also the ones who can't figure out why their partner's mother loathes them. OP, I vote next month you lock her in the bedroom for a week and slide her meals under the door.

Wow... I get sever cramps, I have prescribed painkillers and I also get huge mood swings. Never would I hit my bf. Ever. No matter how angry I get on my period. She's a bitch. Js.

I agree. This FML made me so angry. Don't let that slide, OP. I'm starting to think she might already be abusive if she did that when you offered to do something nice. Never let her cycle be an excuse. Periods can cause aggravation (understatement), sure, but hitting? Hell no.

Whenever I'm on my period I'm happy and social but once it's over I go back to being my antisocial self. Every woman's period symptoms are different.
