Today, my grandfather was counting all the grandchildren he had and saying how fortunate he was to have all of us. When I pointed out that he'd forgotten to count me, he turned and said "You're adopted, you don't count as a real grandchild" FML

What makes it invalid? Is it the fact that you don't want it to be? His opinion as an individual is just as much of an opinion as anyone else's. That was all it was, an opinion. If the OP is overly sensitive, she shouldn't have posted her story to the entire Internet for all to judge.

How about turning your happy little analysis back on yourself? People have a right to think that #45 is an asshole. If he has a right to say what he did, then people have a right to blast him for it.
