Today, my grandfather was counting all the grandchildren he had and saying how fortunate he was to have all of us. When I pointed out that he'd forgotten to count me, he turned and said "You're adopted, you don't count as a real grandchild" FML

Today, I was on the phone with my boyfriend. We were messing around and I always jokingly say, "You're adopted, nobody loves you!" to everybody. His reply, "That's pretty fucked up, I am adopted." He really was. FML

Today, my dad justified leaving two of my three kids out of his will because they’re adopted and so not really his proper grandchildren, telling me I can’t seriously expect him to just give his money to people who aren’t real family members. FML

Today, a guy in my class was talking about himself. He started his story with, "When I was little, I was a ginger." I replied without thinking, "Is that why you got put up for adoption?" Him being adopted was the actual story he wanted to tell. FML

Today, I found out that the man I called grandpa for 40 years is really my dad. My drunk aunt spilled the beans. Her exact words were, "My dad is a better dad to you than he EVER was to me! You never wondered why he treated you better than his other grandchildren? You're his son!" FML

My father and Aunt Lisa were both adopted. Their adoptive parents were wonderful. It's a shame I barely remember my grandparents though. It still saddens me I never really got to meet the two people who made my dad and aunt's lives good. They all treat eachother like family as if they were all blood related. They've been together almost all of their lives. Being adopted isn't a bad thing at all.

#45 I happened to be adopted and thats just about the meanest thing you can say. My birth parents loved me very much. They could've not been able to support me or something. They could have DIED! What you said hurt a lot of people and I think you should think what would happen if you were in this case, like what if you were adopted. Your actually a jerk, along with all the other people who were mean to me and others.

it says "show the comment". Click that and you will see the message. If you can't figure it out, it says, "YDI for being adopted. Your adopted grandfather doesn't even want you, just like your real parents didn't want you either." It's a horrible thing to say and that person should like die for saying that.

@45: That's horrible! There are some circumstances where the parents may HAVE to put the child up for adoption so the child can have a better life. I'm not adopted, but still...
