Today, I got the dress I gave to a tailor to replace a broken zipper back. When I tried it on, I discovered that they’d cut at least 4 inches of fabric, and being skinny, there’s no way I can ever fit into it. It’s from the 1950’s, inherited from my late grandma, who in turn inherited it from her aunt. FML

Today, my brand-obsessed sister bought $200 shorts. She was cutting the tag off of them in the kitchen and left them on the counter. I went into the kitchen, poured me some coke, and spilled it all over the counter. I thought the shorts were a rag. FML

by way, people who cling to brand names simply because other people call them fashionable are ridiculous- you can find well made clothes anywhere, for any price, look for style in and of itself, not because it's "designer" yes, i exclusively buy ecko jeans- because i like the style and they fit me well, not because anyone else told me they were cool and i bought my last two pairs on sale for 30$ to 40$ but i'll buy my dress shirts just about anywhere, from target to macy's
