Today, my husband accidentally erased some pictures from our hard drive. No worries, nothing major: just everything from our wedding and the birth of our first child. FML

Sorry, but YDI for not having backup copies. Before you use that drive again, find an "unerase" app -- you might be able to recover at least some of them.

Memories are better than pictures OP. You should always have a back up so that it never happens again.

always backup the important stuff... and in at least more than 3 locations.

You don't even need a usb or external hard drive back up anymore, many private websites can store them or I just made a private facebook account to keep all the ones just incase I have back-ups of my backups

YDI for not having a back-up, although I do feel sorry for you. I wish we knew why he was deleting stuff. If it were for **** or (even better) illegal torrents, I'd laugh myself to sleep.
