Today, my husband and I agreed that he would name our first born and I would name our second. He's dead-set on naming our child "Raindropp" no matter whether it's a boy or girl. FML

Wanna bet the kid grows up to be a hippie?

Either buy him a hamster and name it that, or make it the middle name. I work in a school I see countless kids with names like this, Summer, Rainbow, Rain...if he thinks he is being orignal, he is not. Every single one of them HATES their name and have asked me how to change it. I have aout five summers, three Rains, three Bows, and a Raindrop. He isn't being quirky and orignal. My advice is to name your kid after something, someone that means something to you. Look through family names. It is kind of cool to carry on a family name.

Names like "Summer" and "Autumn" have been around for awhile. I think they're pretty normal, along the lines of "Rose" or "Daisy," but the others are definitely on the strange side.

I saw a guy on fb who created a group where, in spite of what his wife thinks, if he gets 1 million likes he will name his son optimus prime (:

I think the worst part of this name is the fact he won't even spell the godawful name correctly and feels the need to add another P on the end. And any boy named this is destined to be kicked to death at school.

Compromise? Do some research and see if raindrop in a different language sounds more reasonable.
