Today, my husband of 9 years announced he was gay. He insinuated that he was only able to achieve erections because I looked like a man. FML

You're probably pretty ugly and highly arrogant. If you can't tell a man is gay, you've got problems.

oh wow. that's sucks. i'm sorry. D:

The first part really isn't that big of a deal, it's a lot more common than you would think. Well, yes, it is a big deal, but it's not all that terrible. The second part, though, is a different story... If you're interested, I know of a site that is for MOMs (Mixed Orientation Marriages), where there are a lot of people who have been through what you're going through who are very nice and happy to help you with any issues you might have

this makes me so sad for you, its truly pathetic for a man to feel he had to pretend to be straight in this day and age, and more than that, KNOWINGLY deceive you for probably OVER 9 years. i mean its not like they met and got married straight away, they most likely dated for some time before that. as if thats not devastating enough, to say that awful thing to you? talk about getting kicked while youre down. how cowardly and despicable. NO ONE deserves that, i am so sorry :(

Ouch. I'm sorry that had to happen to you! It's not easy when someone whom you loved for such a long time turns out to be someone you didn't expect. Really, I'm sorry. :(

Asshole. Why would he pretend to be someone he's not.
