Today, my husband received the "antique" samurai sword that he bought on Craigslist with $399.99 of our money. He only shared my outrage at the waste of money when he opened the package, only to find a toy sword along with a note saying, "HAHA, TROLLED." FML

Today, for my birthday, my boyfriend bought me a sword from a TV show called Game of Thrones. He seemed disappointed at my reaction, since he spent so much money on the limited edition version. I've never watched the show, and I also have never had any interest in swords, so I don't know what he was thinking. FML

Today, it was my dad's retirement. He is traditional Japanese, so I had custom-ordered a samurai sword from a traditional Japanese blacksmith with dad's name engraved on the blade in kanji script. He loved it, right up til my drunk cousin tried to use it to cut down a tree and snapped it in two. FML

i can't understand 1 why peoples are so fanatic about samourai sword, that's weapons and i don't display weapons in my living room. 2 why you can truly hope buying an "antique samourai sword" for 399, even the smallest documentary about japan explain that they are all handcrafted by craftmaster and take at least 2 weeks to make it. So, if you buy it 399, you know something is wrong ( or you will buy real rollex or viagra online, and you will help rich nigerian widows)

I believe that is considered theft by deception. I would make a police report, contact Craigslist and make them aware that you have filed the report and see if they will trace the IP address and email address. Also, the courts can order them to do so if you file a small claims suit. Don't let this asshole get away with that shit. BTW, NEVER buy shit off Craigslist that you don't have in hand when money exchanges hands. Would you send $250,000 through western union for a Ferrari listed on Craigslist that you wanted to buy?
