Today, my landlady decided to fix the leak in my room. Her solution was repainting the ceiling. Now not only is my room still wet but it now reeks of paint thinner. FML

ahhh so that's how you fix things, you just paint over them. I'll be right back, i've got to go paint my car. I'll make sure to add some cool racing stripes to make it go even faster than before.

Go ask her if you can fix her face, and before she replies start painting away. Hey, you are only following by example.

to anyone wondering why the room smells like paint thinner, it's probably because paint fell on the floor and she used paint thinner to get it out. 

I recently had my landlord send someone to fix my sink, which filled up with this black crud from the water coming back up, which was then plastered to my sink. When he was done, the guy happily said he had fixed it AND cleaned my sink. When I took a look, the floor was soaking wet, AGAIN (and onto a carpeted area), and he's wiped the sink with a light coloured towel, and left it on the floor. Which made everything smell..

why would it smell like paint THINNER? that doesnt make any sense at all

You could always take her to court if her fixing everything was in your housing contract.
