Today, my little sister got mad at me because I wouldn't let her read my IM conversation. I took a nap and when I woke up, my laptop was gone. She took it on a trip to her grandparents' house, six hours away. Nude pictures of me and my paper due tomorrow are on the laptop. FML

Having grown up with 2 older sisters I have learnt that you never let a girl no matter what the age walk away angry and thinking that they need to get back at you. What you should have said was something like "I will show you, but only if you prove to me that your old enough by doing X", and making X an impossible task of some kind. That would have distracted her with something else and she probably would have forgotten about it some time later if she was going to your granparents anyway. Either that or you shouldn't leave your laptop just out in the open where little hands can snatch it. Hope you passworded your profile at least!

See, this is why you shouldn't keep naked pictures of yourself on your electronic devices. Make sure to delete them as soon as you get your laptop back. And about the paper...I'm so sorry. Always make sure you keep a back-up or two.

Arghhh, FYL. To everyone asking why she has naked photos of herself on her laptop... Maybe she has a boyfriend that she sends them to? Or perhaps she was planning on posting them somewhere? Who knows? It's *her* laptop, so what she stores on there is her prerogative. (Within reason of course) As for her little sister taking the laptop... Could the OP really have anticipated that? Personally, I'd be more worried if my sister tried to hack into my computer, or threatened to tell my parents. The idea of her actually stealing it & then taking it away with her wouldn't cross my mind.

exactly !! YDI if she was gonna take naked pics the FIRST thing she should have done was send it to whoever she was gonna send it to or upload it to photobucket and make the account private so that no one would be able to see and the DELETE it. you should never keep pictures like that in your computer. the longer they're in there the more of a chance they have of being found. and as for the little i really dont think that her little sister getting mad had to do anything with it. she may have been mad but she probably didnt take the computer with the intention of looking through it, of course she was mad about not being able to see the conversation you were having but i think she took it for entertainment purposes only. after all she WAS going on a trip that was 6 HOURS away and you also have to think of the fact that she was with your grandparents...sometimes they can be loving and others they can begin to get a little boring, so i dont think her little sister intentionally took her computer
