Today, my girlfriend's mother insisted she's not homophobic, but however people only 'turn gay' because they were sexually abused, or are 'making it up to get attention'. She informed me I'm the former and my girlfriend is the latter. Uh huh. FML

She was fine with it, supported me 100%, and it was a huge relief, until she followed up with, “Until you find a husband, then you’ll obviously have to stop all that.” The reason I even told her is because my girlfriend just proposed to me, and we’re engaged. To follow up with this, I never said being gay was a bad thing at all! My girlfriend and I have been dating for over a year now, and my mom still asks if I'm gay at least once a month...lol and to all of you who asked if I was sure, yes. Yes I am.
