Today, my mom is going with me for a general check-up at the doctor's office. She just told me she had a nightmare last night that she went to the doctor with me, and he told her I'm pregnant. I am pregnant. I was about to tell her. FML

How the hell do you know that the OP isn't married? How is the OP being pregnant "a good reason to wait until marriage to have sex?" How do YOU know that the OP's pregnancy is a bad thing? "It's nice to see someone besides myself who actually has self-control over her own body." This is the only post by her that bothered me. I have plenty of self-control over my body. That is why I CHOSE to have sex with my boyfriend. It was just an asinine assumption to make. Oh, you have sex before marriage. That means you can't control your body. Just because you have sex, it doesn't mean you are a terrible person.

Actually couples who have sex pre marriage are less likely to have problems. You could marry someone and find out you are totally sexually incompatible, which is a huge problem and is going to cause many other problems. Sex can help a couple learn a lot about each other. While I do think 16 is too young to have sex, I also don't think waiting until marriage is quite necessary.

i like that the FML in this isn't that you're a pregnant teenager with no future, but that you're mom had a dream that you were pregnant and now you don't want to tell her...? because it'll be harder to tell her now that she's had that dream.

it not only self control. but your religious beliefs also. my boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months and have discussed that we're waiting till marriage. its all about your morals, religion and belief.
