Today, my mom read my diary. Then she frantically booked me an appointment with a psychiatrist. FML

Had that before. I grew outta my depression/crazy phaze. Never needed a psychiatrist or anything and now ive got my own home, beautiful wife and baby girl and everything i could ask for. Hope for a better future is always the answer. No matter how bad things get

U gotta stop writing about where u keep ur severed heads!

Depends on what you wrote. Mom might just be looking out for you and seeing issues you yourself can't see

No its fine, dont tell us what was in it. Its not like we are going to be wondering about it for hours until our head explodes from trying to narrow down all of the million things that might have been in it. Its fine, really. *rolls eyes*

I love cookies. ^_^ I apologize, but the topic is getting extremely depressing and cookies always makes it better. :D

Your mom needs to go to therapy for invading your privacy.

My grandmother , who would be in her late 70's now (shes dead), cut herself in her teenage years into adulthood, she suffered from bipolar disorder and stuff. i also suffer from BD , i used to cut, because it was good short term depression relief.

My mom did the same thing, and honesty it made things much worse because it hurt our relationship (her passing me off to some shrink without ever talking to me herself). I still resent her for it after years of being on my own. Some people need to vent, like in a diary, and need privacy to do so.

#77 It's subjective. A lot of people do it for curiosity. I smoked because I wanted to know how it felt. (Never continued, though, one time's enough. Underage anyway.) A lot of people do it for conformity. "She's doing it, so I want to, too." Others do it because they think it works. It'll get rid of the pain. Once you've hit rock bottom, you'd try anything to go back up. A lot of people do crazy things for different reasons, though the thing all of them have in common is to feel better. I hope this helped in your quest for answers.
