Today, my mom told my abusive ex-boyfriend, whom I broke up with 5 days ago, that he is always welcome at my house. She "misses him". FML

Does she even know he abuses you? If she does then yeah, FYL big time, if not, then you should probably tell her.

Sounds like you need to break up with your mom, too.

My mom did the same thing to me. She got mad at me every time he was abusive or would cheat cuz I was crying. Like wtf mom?! The worst part was that we had only been together 4 months.

Honestly, going out to you, OP, and anyone being abused, a person (no he, sometimes she, doesn't even deserved to be considered a person) who feels it necessary to abuse their significant other, their parents, children, anyone, does not deserve to live. It is never your fault and if your mom doesn't know about this then you should have told her ahead of time. If your mom chooses the other person over you, you have the right to excommunicate her. Your health and self esteem are worth more than some gnat who is not part of your family. Please be safe. God bless.

Preach, elmateo, preach! God bless all and love all.

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with your mother

In this situation if your mother doesn't consider or respects your needs get out before the situation gets worst. I'm assuming she knew how he treated you. Wth is wrong with her?!seriously messed up.good luck!
