So sorry for your loss OP. And no offense, but your relatives suck!
I don't comment on here frequently, but I logged on now just so I could downvote you. Have you no empathy?
Because crying in public about a death in your life is completely inappropriate. So is having the courtesy to wait until you're at home to break the news to you apparently. I am sorry for your loss OP.
Sorry about your dog! That really sucks. Also, while some people are embarrassed about showing emotions in public, there isn't anything wrong with crying in public! I suggest having a talk with your Mother, since it sounds like she has some backwards ideas of what is inappropriate. Like, how it apparently IS appropriate to tell someone that their pet died in a Wal Mart.
Just because it's a part of life doesn't mean that it's a good part. Also, if something truly devastating happens, some people can't help but cry, literally cannot hold it in.
Wow. I'm truly sorry for your lost. I would've cried too.
sorry to hear abr ur loss OP but ur family deserves a smack in the mouth for that yelling at u.... I mean really
Weird, cause that literally JUST happened to my neighbors dog. Same age, and I think the same day! Either way, I'm sorry to hear about your dog, I had to go through the same thing, except my bulldog died at the age of 5. So sad, he did not get to live a full life. Look at the bright side: your dog lived a happy, and probably healthy life, and a full one too, with you! I'm sure the days that your dog lived were exciting and joyful!

I'm sorry about your dog...crying in public is perfectly alright; there are people who do it on a regular basis, for goodness sake. You just lost one of your best friends, I mean, c'mon. :( That's some insensitive family you have...sorry, OP. Perhaps you could get a puppy to fill the void a bit, after a little while? :D
sounds like my family.. I'm sorry OP. I know it sucks :/
