Today, my mother and grandmother informed me that my sixteen-year-old dog died. I was standing in Wal-Mart at the time. They then yelled at me because crying in public is "inappropriate." FML

I'm sorry about your dog...crying in public is perfectly alright; there are people who do it on a regular basis, for goodness sake. You just lost one of your best friends, I mean, c'mon. :( That's some insensitive family you have...sorry, OP. Perhaps you could get a puppy to fill the void a bit, after a little while? :D

sounds like my family.. I'm sorry OP. I know it sucks :/

But I'm so sorry to hear that and I'm with you: I would have defiantly cried too!

They must be pretty dim witted, they don't know nothing is inappropriate in a walmarts.

No its not what is inappropriate is telling someone in Walmart that their pet has died

If crying in a Walmart is inappropriate then they need to ban children. I'm sorry to hear about your pet

When I was in grade 2 I got in trouble for crying because my nose hurt (it was rough from blowing it a lot) and my dad told me the same thing.

a sixteen year-old dog, it is sad but you must have been expecting it.

I'm really sorry for your loss, OP. Anyone else would cry too. But really, what's so bad about crying in public (besides for tantrums)? We are human, we are meant to feel, and feel openly and fully. We're made of flesh and bone, not stone. If we cover that up, what's left to show?

That really sucks I had that happen to me before. sorry for your loss :/

And yelling at someone in public isn't?!

Oh, I just uploaded one really similar to yours, I'm sorry.. :'(
