Today, my neighbor knocked on my door to borrow my laundry room key. He was bare-ass naked. When I refused to open the door, he tried to break it down. I had to call the police before he would leave. FML

OP here. Dude was obviously on drugs, incoherent, and, again, naked. When the police arrived, they found his clothes in a pile outside of my door, along with a crack pipe. I was with my disabled mother, and I was not opening that door.

Sounds like he REALLY needed a laundry room key. I would have just slipped it under the door and said "for god's sale now put some clothes on ASAP."

I'd be worried about getting it back. I'd rather open a locked door for someone than give my key to them. But I sure as hell wouldn't go outside if there was a violent naked man waiting for me. (Trying to break down the door sounds aggressive to me.)

Today, I went into the basement to do laundry. There is a little rope on the outside of the door to lock it. I was down there for 20 minutes, and came back up the stairs to find it locked. Turns out, my 3 year-old sister did it, then our parents took her to the park. I was stuck down there for 4 hours. FML
