Today, my new calculus teacher taught everything using nothing but soccer terms and analogies, just so the resident idiot meatheads would understand. I didn't learn a thing. FML

okay, just because one student has trouble understanding doesn't mean the whole class should have to be subject to that. maybe you could volunteer as a tutor or refer to a math help center>

Well if you already understand what the subject is talking about without the use of soccer terms then you really don't need to learn anything.

seems you are at the top of a slippery slide; tackle the problem head on. His approach for attacking the lesson flew wide of the mark, so remind him education is not free..kick off by asking for a refund; you might not get all of what you paid, but you might get half-back...

everyone learns differently. the hard thing is figuring out what kind of meathods works best. who knows, what if those meatheads will become a doctor or something. doesn't make them an idiot if they only understand it in soccer terms.
