The teacher's job is to ensure the majority of the class understands the subject matter. Seems like the teacher's doing his job well in this case and you're just bitter because for once you're the person being left behind struggling and you don't like it.
So what. Would you be sorry if the op had been a sports person that didn't get it normally? Props to the teacher for taking on all students, and it sounds like you didn't talk to your teacher about your concerns. The responsibility is on you if are having problems.
I want to know how a bunch of "idiot meatheads" are in a calculus course. You usually have to progress to that level and it isn't required in most of the US for graduation (for high school.. Or even college for that matter). Unless, of course, you're in a more prestigious school, or private school; in which case I would ask how are you in a class with "idiot meatheads" and an instructor who teaches with soccer jargon in the first place.
How the hell does one teach calculus using soccer analogies? In fact, come to think of it: how does one teach calculus using any kind of analogies? Calculus is supposed to be about rates of change. How can you make any kind of analogy for a rate of change? I mean I can understand how you could apply it to something, like doing some soccer related example problems, but making analogies about? 0_0
That's actually a pretty well-known technique. It's hard for some people to understand some things, so you try to relate the material to them using something they like. They will pay more attention and are more likely to remember it...
Analogies only work if you're familiar with what something's being compared to. If OP has never played or watched soccer, then how is she supposed to learn calculus through soccer analogies?
You can't call someone who plays soccer a meathead
I played soccer in school, and was most definitely NOT involved in drugs.... I find that a bit insulting that the teacher assumed that students who were involved in soccer were also involved with drugs.

Does that mean you're less intelligent than the idiot meatheads?
okay, just because one student has trouble understanding doesn't mean the whole class should have to be subject to that. maybe you could volunteer as a tutor or refer to a math help center>
