Thats so messed up
That sounds like you're doing a good job with your dog. If they want him there while they party, you've done an excellent job training your dog. Time to train your parents.
Throw your own superbowl party and don't invite them
I wouldn't bring the dog, but would go there myself and call them out. You can invite yourself, you know. Don't be a pathetic doormat. You have every right to be there.
If his parents really don't want him at their house, then no - he can't just "invite himself" and he doesn't have "every right to be there." He does, however, have every right to refuse to bring his dog just so they can show him off.
I have family who feels entitled to my home, my belongings, my parents things... all because we happen to have history together. I had a cousin try to throw a Superbowl party at my house just this week. I told him no, he threw a fit, claimed he had every right to be there and he plans to come on Sunday. So while Op has no right to invite himself to the party, he has every right to say "no, my dog stays with me."
Super football show.
Pedant.
Tell them you're a package deal if you really wanna go. Either they take you AND the dog, or they get nothing lmao
no dog without you.
OP- perhaps they thought you would be spending SS with your friends?

Then say no
Your own parents not inviting you? That's messed up.
