Today, my phone died. I plugged it in to charge and then went out to run some errands. When I returned, my phone was no where to be found, and our shovel was on the floor, muddy and wet. I then discovered my 6-year old son had buried my "dead" 200$ palmpilot because he had felt sorry for me. FML

6 is more than old enough to understand you don't touch other people's things. Nonetheless, OP should not have left a $200 phone within reach of said 6 year old. They deserve it for not teaching their child any manners, and for then acting as if they had taught their child to behave like a human being. If you can't be bothered to teach your kid not to bury electronics, don't leave the electronics near the kid.

hes 6... there's no way he would have nearly enough money to pay for it... the OP never said he was home alone and lots of parents let there kids play out in the backyard or w/e... some yards are fenced and safe for kids and the OP might have thought he would just be gone a few minutes and got caught in a line or something i have a 6 year old cousin and this sounds like something she might do unlike you people who are saying there retarded, HE'S 6!!! your probrably 50 year olds with nothing better to do than complain about someone whos life hardly just started and who doesn't know EVERYTHING there is to know....no reason to beat him he thought he was doing the right thing just talk to him about it and your son sounds cute and thoughtful:D fyl though
