Today, my phone died. I plugged it in to charge and then went out to run some errands. When I returned, my phone was no where to be found, and our shovel was on the floor, muddy and wet. I then discovered my 6-year old son had buried my "dead" 200$ palmpilot because he had felt sorry for me. FML

I would be sooo pissed. Especially since it's hard to be mad at your kid since he was trying to help.

Uh... why was no one watching him? YDI if you left a 6 year old home alone.

I do. :P Their smartphones are actually fairly decent, especially for the price. Replacement costs aren't bad either; in the event that you actually manage to break one (I've had their devices run over by cars and still work fine) you can get them for well under the normal replacement cost either through insurance or eBay (to the point that my $400 phone is only $100 to replace). They're cheap, durable, and if you don't like the OS, there's plenty of third party programs out there to change it around and make it work the way you want it to.

I dont understand why everyone is jumping to conclusions. The FML never said the kid was alone.

Aw. Well...it was a sweet gesture...I guess....

If I'm not mistaken, by "Palm Pilot" he means the new Palm Pre, which came out June 6 and is $200. This is probably not an old Palm Pilot, and if it is, just a great excuse to get the Palm Pre ;-).
