I'd be heading to the police station and finding out about an order of protection and making them aware of her threats and the fact she has access to weapon legally now. If she's been hospitalized for psychiatric issues, I believe it's against the law for her to have a permit (depends on state and local law). Hope she's found a new fixation and left you alone by now, Op!
