Yeah, you definitely deserved that. I mean, the nerve of you, offering to help your sister and then complaining that you have to pay a hospital bill. I'm sure you knew she was allergic too and just wanted to make her have a reaction. And I'm sure your sister knew she was allergic too and decided that it would still be a brilliant idea to buy latex balloons. That was all sarcasm, by the way. That sucks that you tried to help and ended up paying the hospital bill. If you knew, then I could see her making you pay, but I still don't see why someone would buy latex balloons if their daughter is allergic. My cousin's allergic to peanuts, and my aunt doesn't keep peanut products in the house. I think it's more her parents' fault if they knew, and if nobody knew then you didn't know she'd have an allergic reaction. Really, I can't see how you're more at fault than the parents, especially since you were helping them set up for a party that had nothing to do with you.
#33, you're a moron. I have a latex allergy and Trojan does in fact make a latex free condom (I believe its actually polyurethane) but they're expensive (like $9 for 3 of them). Also, there's this thing called the pill if you're sleeping with someone that you are in an established relationship with. Duh! I dislike children and never plan on having them. No, I am not celibate.

I voted YDI, but I think I may have been a bit hasty. Who's to say that the allergy was well known? I mean, I know parents today, and if their child is allergic to something, they don't keep it in the house. I think if they knew she was allergic to latex the wouldn't get latex non-helium balloons. If they knew about it and still got them, they should be the ones paying the hospital bill, because it's their own damn fault there were latex balloons in the first place. Chances are they didn't know, and what a way to find you. At least she's okay, right?
Allergic to latex? Poor girl.... ;)
