You realise people can't catch ring worm from other people, right? Humans are a dead end host, and without treatment, the infection will itch a bit, look unsightly and then resolve.
Almost right, you can catch ringworm from other people but as long as you don't keep re-infecting each other you're right it will resolve itself.. It is in fact HIGHLY contagious and will resolve much quicker if treated. Ringworm is passed between people through direct skin contact and by sharing objects such as towels, hairbrushes and bedding.
