Today, my sister found out she contracted ringworm and scabies from her best friend's rescued kittens. The entire family now has to be treated to prevent it from spreading. There are 7 people in our house and none of us have health insurance. FML

Now you see why it is important. Where do you live? I know a lot of the countries in Europe have healthcare provided for you and in the united states it is mandatory to have health insurance now..

Really? It's mandatory now? I have yet to hear that one...let me just tell some of my friends who have never had insurance to run out and get it or better yet the residents at the nursing home where my mom works. Some people can't get approved for it either because of pre-existing conditions.

well its always good ti have insurance but sorry OP, i come from a country where everybody is born with insurance and i know that not everybody in the us can have one

wow. I'm sorry but whT kinda parents let their kids go without healthcare...

I've had scabies, not fun. However, both can be treated semi cheapily. Ring worm needs topical steroids and scabies will be gone quickly with some neem oil also applied topically. :)

shouldnt have had those last 5 kids if they can't afford healthcare for the first two. harsh but true!!

And that is why American healthcare and being Catholic don't mix.. Also OP said there are 7 people not 7 kids.. It could be mum+dad, 3 kids and 2 lodgers.. It could be 5 adult offspring who should be paying for their own healthcare..

you cant get scabies from haired animals...scabies like hair-less animal...like us people..(fml)

parents should work harder to get insurance
