Today, my sister told me that she read that the pain of giving birth is equal to the pain of breaking 20 bones at once. I'm 19 weeks pregnant. FML

Well, there's no turning back now.

Just take the drugs when they offer them, the epidural may hurt at first but it's so worth it

Definitely not true, my mom had me with no drugs and says that she doesn't even remember the pain. She says it's uncomfortable, and it obviously hurts, but not bad enough. Breaking 20 bones at once could potentially kill a person. My friend had an epidural and said she didn't feel a thing.

She doesn't remember it because a woman's body releases a massive quantity of endorphins post-childbirth that dull the memory of the pain. The pain of giving birth is so intense that if we could remember it, we'd hate our children. And yes, breaking twenty bones at once could kill a person; the comment was that the pain is equivalent, not that childbirth is as physically detrimental as breaking twenty bones.

Actually, Family Guy got it totally right. Its the equivalency of stretching your mouth around your head.

238- In what universe did Family Guy get it right?! That thing about stretching your lip is ridiculous, if not only for the fact that its an entirely different pain in an entirely different place!
