Good for you! Little steps at first, and try to believe in yourself- even if you don't believe it at first, just keep thinking positive, and soon you will.
I know just how you feel I feel proud of myself for communicating with people all the time because of my social awkwardness
What did you ask them? Ohh... too soon? Maybe you can answer, next time. =P
Social awkwardness is just an excuse for lack of confidence. I've been there myself and it wasn't a good place, but seriously it's better if you man up and take control of a situation.
Been there...it sucks really badly :( I used to avoid going shopping just so that I didn't have to awkwardly interact with cashiers. It gets better, though, in time. My anxiety/social anxiety used to be terrible..I was so awkward about the (seemingly) simplest things--I could barely function in public, couldn't speak up, etc. I'm not going to tell you my anxiety went away, because it definitely still affects me, but things seem much more doable, now. Difficult, but possible. I was chosen as Valedictorian of my school and have to give a speech at the grad ceremony in a few days...I'm terrified, but I'm going to do my best anyway. I couldn't have even attempted that before...so just give it time. Live and learn...you learn to deal with it little by little. Good luck, OP :)

I'm just like that. But be proud! It's baby steps, and before you know it you'll be able to do anything :) I, unfortunately, am not able to ask a stranger a question yet. But once again, baby steps! Good luck :)
This makes me feel less awkward.
