My son got suspended 6 times in kindergarten...and twice so far in 1st grade.

Oh, I know how much that sucks, OP. My grade K 6yo hasn't been suspended, but he has had after school detention. Of course, we know now he has ADHD and O.D.D. (Oppositional Defiance Disorder). He had been kicked out of day cares previously and I had to quit working to take care of him. He almost got himself kicked out of a 2 day a week/4 hour per day preschool. He was just too impulsive. Take heart that you're not alone. I hope things get better for you.

Sounds like a lack of discipline. "Please stop doing that" doesn't work all the time; if you don't back it up with at least a time out to teach that there are consequences, the behavior won't improve.
