Today, my three housemates got into a huge fight and ended up declaring their undying hatred for each other. They now refuse to talk to each other, and I've become their go-between. Yesterday, we signed the lease for another year in the house together. FML

Today, while away on training with the army, my housemates rang me to tell me some news. They had found a perfect house for next year and they had put an offer on it. The only problem? There are 5 of us and the house is for 4. Guess who hasn't been included. FML

Today, I signed the lease on my first apartment alone with my boyfriend. We've lived here a month before we got to sign. Today is also the day my neighbors decided to show how they're night owls: all I hear is banging on the walls and them loudly talking and yelling. This will be a long year. FML

Today, I found out that my new roommate got kicked out of his old house because he pulled a gun on his old roommates and threatened them. The reason? They nagged him about dishes he left in the sink. Well, only 10 months left on the lease. FML

That is a difficult situation but they can only treat you as the go between if you let them, tell them that since they have signed a lease it makes sense to see if they can work things out and at least be amicable or find another solution, it's common sense. Then see if you can stay somewhere else for a couple of days, visit family or friends and leave them to it! You can continue to be polite to each of them but let them know you won't be put in the middle of their argument, if they're adults they should understand.
