Today, my tire blew while I was on the freeway. I had to change the tire in pouring rain while wearing short shorts and flip-flops. No one stopped to help, but several people politely honked as if to remind me of my misfortune. FML

happened to me once coming home from work at 1 am and my tire went I'm sitting on the side of the road it's freezing cold in trying to flag someone down to help cause the bolts are so tight I couldn't get them off I ended up having to ride the rim about a mile and a half down the road to a restaurant where I could call my friend to come pick me up

Just so you know for next time so it can help you.. You never know when you need it.. The longer the bolt loosened thing is, the more torque. Carry a hollow, but strong metal tube that you can stick the bolt loosener into.

You should dress appropriately for the weather. But yeah, that sucks.

I don't mind spending everyday changing my tire in the pouring rain...

I actually think short shorts and flip flops were the best outfit you could be wearing at the time besides an actual rain coat and boots. I tend to wear shorts and flip flops or sandals when I imagine it's going to rain, because that way only your skin gets wet, so when you leave the rain, instead of spending the whole day in wet, heavy clothes, your skin will be dry in 10 minutes or so and you'll be just fine. It's actually better than trying to wear warm clothes only to have it backfire on you when you can't get them dry even long after escaping the rain.

Good job changing it yourself! I know how to, but am not physically strong enough. Would have had to call AAA, and I probably would have been wearing a dress...

Someone please tell me why this reminds me of Superwoman

While it sucks no one stopped to help, good for you for knowing how to change your tire. And I hope that doesn't come across as sexist.

U sure they weren't honking at your ass? It's quite sexy to see a woman in short shorts working on a car

Stop bitching about nobody helping you! Going to a climbing gym with a child in short shorts, then expecting people to help you? You are a spoiled brat that needs to grow up. U changed ur tire by urself with ur kid watching yet bitch cuz u didn't get help. Use ur cell phone and call someone or stfu and learn nobody cares.
