Today, my tire blew while I was on the freeway. I had to change the tire in pouring rain while wearing short shorts and flip-flops. No one stopped to help, but several people politely honked as if to remind me of my misfortune. FML

Entertainment at someone else's expense, their karma is in jeopardy...

but...FML is entertainment at someone else's expense! It's OUR karma that's in jeopardy! :O

#23, Agreed. At FML, people volunteer their experiences for others' amusement.

You do realize that your profile pic looks like multicolored sperm, don't you?

You probably did something to deserve it some how im sure...

Well aren't you just a peach. And by "peach" I mean "obnoxious little girl".

Well everyone on here is saying how the people that honked and just drove by will receive their karma soon. This could be her version of karma. The karma just keeps going round. Like a circle. The circle of karma

25. I don't know you at all, but from what you said, if I did know you... I would hate you

Kudos for being a female and able to change your own tire. I would think the task would be easy in theory to do but will admit, I don't think I would physically be strong enough to do myself. :P

this type of thing just happened to me about 2 weeks ago when i got out of work. it was also raining though, thankfully, not very hard but i only had a flat and not a blow out. i drove about a mile on the flat to the tire place down the road, but unfortunately they were closed for the day. so i decided to fix it myself. i jacked up the car and got the hubcap off, only to find that i am not strong enough to remove the bolts on the tire. i know what to do, i'm just not strong enough to do it i guess. i was also shocked that nobody driving by stopped to help because i am a small lady [5'2" and 110 lbs] so all those drivers should have known i couldnt do it alone. luckily for me i have a cousin and uncle, both mechanics, who live about 5miles from where i was who were willing to come help me out

People can be real dicks. If I saw a woman changing her own tire , by herself , even in the rain, I would have stopped to help. It's bullshit that people can be that way.

OP. You are just to sexy to be helped, guys would just want to help themselfs. :)

Short shorts and not one person stopped?! What is this world coming too?! lol At least you now know you can change your tire...and in the pouring rain! You go, OP!!

Hmmm. I'm a woman. If we want equality (equal pay, rights, respect) we have to stop expecting to be taken care of, and take care of ourselves. Being a responsible driver means being prepared. Can't change a tire? Plan for it! Get AAA or make sure you have a friend who will help. Your problem. You deal with it. That's what adult human beings do.

Op knows how to change a tire. But thanks for your useless rant.

Is that what being a radical feminist does to your brain? You manage to make EVERYTHING about gender... Op is not complaining as a female in distress but as a person in a bad situation while no one is offering their help...something which could happen to a man as well
