Today, my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She's perfect in every way, except for her birth mark. It's under the corner of her left eye and looks almost exactly like a prison teardrop tattoo. FML

Hey don't worry, she's your daughter and you should love her anyway and it'll just make for an interesting story.

That's not a big deal. You should just be happy that the baby is healthy!

As long as she's healthy you shouldn't care

Just mean she killed a sperm while on the inside.

Wow. Why would a BIRTHMARK be a FML moment? I myself have a birthmark, that covers my entire chest. It's not a FML... You have a beautiful baby girl, who's "perfect" except for her birthmark.. SERIOUSLY???? Glad you aren't MY dad. You'd probably shun me. You need to get over it, and accept it, otherwise, she's going to be extremely self-conscious.

Not that bad I mean just put concealer over it when she's older. Or use some of that fading scar gel stuff, it might help.

Don't worry, she'll probably like that when she goes through her angsty teen phases. Congrats!

To everyone who is saying she is beautiful and perfect to her parents, that is true. However if the birthmark doesn't change or go away she would probably be teased at school. I'm a teenager and I know how cruel kids can be to each other. It might be best just to remove it now to avoid any bullying or future problems.

bullies only have as much power as you give them. if you don't give them any then you've nothing to worry about. strength comes from within, be happy accept what you are and who you are. change what you don't like, not what they don't like and never look back. never give them the chance and you'll never have to worry.

With all due respect, have you ever been bullied? Because "refusing to give bullies power" REALLY doesn't work. (in case it isn't clear, I am NOT advocating a violent solution, just a less naive one)

Removing the birth mark might prevent her from being bullied about having a birth mark. It won't prevent her from being bullied though.

how can you expect anyone else to be able to accept her for her character and morals instead of her looks if you obviously can't
