well, it was a contracting job. I've had weak wrists all my life but I normally just wear wrist braces and I do just fine. I hadn't wanted to say anything but also having still been new, I figured the bulk of the pain was from the repetitive motions from a 12 hour shift and that once I had been there a while, most of the pain would disappear. When my coworkers noticed the pain from my hands not working properly they suggested the nurse and I asked if she can provide a wrist wrap. They then said I needed to talk to my supervisor before the nurse and being a medical facility, they stated that they can't say they care about saving lives and the safety of the employees if they allow me to get hurt. They then directed me to my contracting supervisor who stated they will find a clerical type job for me. I just felt lame for the fact that for once I was told I couldn't perform a job because I might injure myself. :/ I appreciate the support and kindness though. Thank you.

They don't want you getting workmans comp. file for unemployment instead! They'll hate that & you should see a doctor ASAP!

Hey, don't feel lame! While it sucks that you can't do your job because of your wrists, it's better than actually getting hurt.
I would go see a doctor. I have two forms of tendonitis and hidden carpal tunnel. I just recently had surgery to correct one form of the tendonitis and the carpal tunnel. my wrist already feels better. wish you luck
Thank you very much #116(: I think I will look into that(: If it isn't too personal, would you mind in boxing me details on how much the surgery was and what you recommend and such? Thank you for your support.(:
Thank you #115. That really meant a lot to me. I've been more disappointed feeling like a loser for saying anything about my condition and beating myself up for it :/ I don't want to be permanently disabled though. So i will just do my best at finding new work that wont put so much strain on my wrists(: Thank you for your support.
Good luck!
Hey at least they are finding you another job and not just completely laying you off for it! I know it's not exactly an ideal situation but it really could be a lot worse. Really glad to hear you're doing ok though!
get insurance and usually it is 80/20 cost
aww that sucks to hear. They prob deemed you a liability. you can sue then for negligence or unethical behavior.
Get a lawyer!!
I don't know where OP lives, but, most states are" right to work" states, which means an employer doesn't need a reason to terminate a worker. In most cases you would have to show proof of discrimination in order to have legal grounds to sue the employers or get unemployment.
not really sure what you thought they would do. of course they fired you. they know you'll end up holding up the line. not really fair but that's how it goes.

File a lawsuit. Carpal Tunnel?
Aww, sucks to hear, but if it was "at will" employment there isn't much you can do about it.
