Today, my younger cousin bought his girlfriend of 3 months a bunch of flowers. The only flower I've ever got from my boyfriend of 3 years is a plastic one he found on the floor in a bar. FML

no offence but it's your choice to be in that relationship, I take it that he does a lot of other things you like or you wouldn't be with him, right? Never compare your relationship to someone else's, you'll always end up losing.

Your cousin's flowers will last a few weeks, your boyfriend's flower will last years. Which one do you really want? Granted it's not the most romantic circumstance, at least you have it forever and you don't have to worry about picking up dead petals.

Tell your boyfriend to put more effort into it. Surely he can steal some flowers from people's front gardens on the way home? Or failing that, maybe bring you some roadkill.
