Today, on my first day at a new job, my boss asked how old I was. I replied, "Eighteen." She responded that she was my age thirty years ago, which makes her the same age as my mum. When I told her, she gave me a puzzled look, so I repeated myself. She was my age thirteen years ago, not thirty. FML

Don't capitalize "een" in thirteen, put the "s (don't know what they're called...) and lose the exclamation points. You sound like a damn 3 year old.

I'd pretty much repeat all you just said...except without all the swearing and unnessacary language...

Nazi? This ain't 1940. Must be jewish. Forgive & forget people!!

1st- for all you people saying that you had to read this like 7 times because of the grammar, just stfu and learn how to understand things. the grammar is not that bad. 2nd- why would an 1-year-old make a comment about his mother to his new boss especially about age. i know 15-year-olds who would think that the statement you made was immature and stupid. 3rd- im sure if you actually were paying attention, you would of realized that she was not 48

Ah, don't you just hate it when things like that happen? It causes the worst awkward moments and makes the person who made the faux pas want to crawl into a hole. It sucks to mishear someone and end up putting a foot in your mouth like that, especially. FYL.
