Today, on my way to Burger King I got into a heated discussion with my wife about our cats. We have 15 rescues, and I've reached my limit. Guess what came running up to my car while waiting in the drive-through. We named him Pickles. FML

Do you want fries with that? In all honesty, I like the idea of rescuing animals, but, you are right, there is a limit, especially if it is in your home. Hopefully you can reach a compromise! Until then, I hope you like Pickles :P

OP you need to tell your wife that the cats have to go to other homes. If your wife is going to be a foster parent for rescues she is going to have to give them to other people to love.

I am happy that you have rescued so many cats.

my mother and I are like this. we took a lot of strays in over the years (if they weren't strays they were definitely mistreated & we have them checked to disease before mixing them with our others cats). we know it's not legal to have that many, but they are all vaccinated, neutered, loved and fed with quality food that's recommended by veterinarians. we are definitely not taking any more though! seriously OP, you're gonna end up with territory problems and angry cats! try giving a few to people you know and trust :)

Think of all the wonderful things you're doing for these animals!

Yeah it's great, but two people can only give so much love. Saving an animal is admirable but at the same time you have to give these animals to other loving homes. Along with the above comments.

That might be somebody else's cat. Hope you can convince her to let you put up fliers

Congrats on stealing a cat. A cat that runs up to people and is friendly is a cat that VERY likely has a loving family in the house behind the restaurant. I sure as hell hope you put up some "found cat" signs, posted it on Craigslist, and reported it to the local animal control/humane society so the family can get the cat back. Please tell me you at LEAST had it scanned for a chip, and checked the Lost Cat ads?

Let's just hope the other kittens had better names.
