Good luck trying to restore his faith in Santa. Try telling him that Santa brought that guy that yelled at him a piece of coal last year for being bad and now he's bitter about it so he wants to yell at random people and try to debunk Santa
I would have shoved a stocking up the grinches ass. you should never ruin Christmas for anyone!
Whether a kid believes in Santa or just wants a few gifts for Christmas, no one should ruin that part of their childhood. I wasn't even in kindergarten when I'd decided for myself that none Of those sorts of things make sense (Santa, tooth fairy, Easter bunny) so in confronted my mother to 'tell the truth mama and don't lie to me!' She told me, but explained that I needed to pretend to believe for my little sister and daddy. And when my sister figured it out herself, she also had to his it from our dad.... Haha but seriously. If a kid can be carefree and innocent, let them be. It's a simple thing.
Seriously? Some people! My sons grade one teacher did the same, then turned around and told them it was Jesus's birthday! I went ballistic.
Christmas is the celebration of Jesus' birthday... true it's been secularized to also have nothing to do with Jesus but many people still believe in the Nativity. She was probably annoyed many people forget that it is Celebrating Jesus' birthday. It is unacceptable to tell them Santa is not real though .
Christmas is the Christian adaptation of the Roman Winter Solstice celebration. My mother's a Christian and refuses to celebrate it, going so far as to say that had she known that when we were younger we wouldn't have had Christmas. I'm certainly glad she didn't - I love Christmas! Anyways, yes, Christmas was refitted to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ but it's inappropriate for a teacher to both deny Santa's existence and then reinforce Christian beliefs on those who don't necessarily practice religion.
Some people are just unbelievable. Sorry OP
I found out at age 7 from a classmate. As a child, My parents told me that once I stop believing in Santa, he will stop bringing me presents. So for years I had to pretend to believe. My parents' lie turned into my lie. ):
That's ****** up. lol
How can anyone press YDI on this one?:/
Oh, come on. The guy had it coming. First he had a kid, then he took the bus, then he asked the kid what he would like for Christmas...
You can't hide from the truth forever, OP! NO MORE LIES!!!
50- *Pokes the walrus with a pointy stick* Extreme truth seeker needs a breather here! :D Tis okay, toothy one, the child will figure it out someday, this one will not slip under the wire of pure knowledge for long. ;)
*sigh* It was a joke. This man who was harassing OP and his child clearly has very strong convictions about exposing the truth, no matter how trivial the matter is.
107- I was teasing you, gracehi. I've read enough of your comments before to know you have quite the sense of humour. ;)
*Tease the walrus achievement unlocked*
Tell your child that Santa has to be real because you can't afford what he is asking for. My child believed till he was 14 cause he never saw us go to the store and there was never a gift under the tree until that morning magically. It took a soldout PlayStation to make him beleive at 14. We would take him to the stores so he could see there were none.

That is just awful!!! Of course I don't belive in him cause I'm a Jew but let the kid have his childhood! He will find out sooner or later.
Spoiler alert.
