Today, one of my year 9 students finished the test an hour early. He decided to spend the time by "stealthily" whacking off. His entire desk was shaking in a silent room. FML

salmone_fml tells us more.

Follow Up: it is a national test, so he couldn't go to the bathroom, and I couldn't disrupt the test by speaking. I stood nearby and cleared my throat loudly, that seemed to work, and he emerged from his jumper (sweater) fairly quickly. I would say given that all he wrote on the test was his name, he probably did not do very well. Finally, there are some very nasty, judgemental people on here. Perhaps you should try to live a little more kindly and gently.

I don't get how it seemed like a good idea to him.

Am I the only one questioning why a 9 year old is jerking off?

Not 9 years old, year 9 at school. A child in that school year would be 12 or 13 years old.

If you're in 9th grade, shouldn't you be around 14-15? Js but at least you understood he was in 9th grade.

Oops sorry! I read 9 year old! Wow.

probably was overly excited about hopefully passing the test

Hahahahahaha, no forward planning at all. Their frontal lobes haven't fully developed yet. And yes, because one of my hormone-driven, impulsive teenage students made a poor decision, I am an awful teacher and representative of what is wrong with the schooling system. Judgemental people make the world a much worse place. He was referred on to the principal.

Don't you know? Anytime a child does something FML worthy it's always either the parent's fault or the teacher's!

Well, to an extent it is, but that kid has passed that extent.

Bringing shame to men everywhere, lol.

Maybe he wanted to learn about the booty.
