Today, our school had tryouts for chorus. Everybody sang a snippet of the song together until the teacher stopped us, saying it sounded awful. He singled me out and told me to sing alone. After I sang the part, he said, "Son, your gift to God will be silence." FML

Today, I had been practicing for a solo in a choir I’m in. I finally got it down and was all ready to audition. On audition night, the choir director let me try out, then decided all the sopranos should sing it. FML

Today, I was practicing for a choir concert that I have next week. My mom walked into my room and listened to me for a little while. After I finished the last song, she smiled, patted me on the head and said, "It's okay honey, I can't sing either." FML

Today, I was at work at a preschool. I was sitting outside with the kids and was getting bored so I started singing. One of the little girls runs up and puts her hand over my mouth and tells me to stop. I'm in a select chorus at my highschool and plan to major in choral studies in college. FML

Today, I auditioned for the musical at my school. Before I sang my song, I gave my music to the director. She said "Oh, I love this song!". After I sang it, she told me, "It's okay, I still like the song." FML

Today, I told my mom that I want to try out for a singing competition on TV, so I might be able to kick off my musical career. She convinced me to sing a song for her, so I did. Mid-way through, she lost it, burst into laughter, and told me to stay in school. FML

Today, I performed in my school's choir concert. The girl next to me started to pass out, and I grabbed her so she wouldn't hit her head. After we were done performing and the curtains closed, my choir teacher dragged me off stage and said I was getting an F for "creating a distraction". FML

Today, I had my high school piano recital. The entire time I was playing, one of my classmates sitting up front kept booing me and yelling "YOU SUCK" at the top of his lungs. He drowned out the entire song. FML

Today, my roommate eavesdropped on me singing. When I realized he was there, he said I was "fucking incredible" and asked me to do another song. There's just one issue: I only sing well when I'm alone. The result was predictably bad. If it was possible to literally die of embarrassment, I wouldn't be writing this. FML

I can sing like randy blythe but hey not all vocals suit all people but maybe ur voice can be good for other vocal types u know death metal maybe who knows =)

So dude, last year I was the singer of this band. We practiced really rarely, only played one gig, then just kinda didn't get back together. My best friend was the bassist and he was always willing to play, but we always had a hard time getting the other members together and he never really seemed optimistic about band practices happening. Then one day he told me that all the other members of the band told him they would not go to any more practices because I sounded like crap. Then he told me even when I'm on pitch and on key I sound like crap. I got really pissed at all of them and then decided to prove them wrong. I signed up for choir, took vocal lessons, joined the school musical, and practiced singing every opportunity I got. Now I am in two bands with musicians who are infinitely more talented then my previous band members and everyone agrees that I am really fantastic. Its not a lost cause, if you really want to get good at singing and really want to prove him wrong, you can. I did and it feels great.
