cyb3rbyte tells us more.
I did get it resolved as we have a police officer in the parking lot before and after school. He vouched for me as he saw the guy doing the burnouts through his windshield. Thanks for the comments!

You can use burned rubber in the tires as evidence
tires can still be replaced.. but this dude needs justice.
Oh wow, someone doing burnouts is pretty common at my school. But then again I park in the redneck lot.
Haha same thing at my school.
You have a lot just for redknecks?
Go straight to the principals office. If they don't listen, take it to the board of education. There's always a bigger fish and they usually don't like to be bothered with asinine issues like the one you're facing. They'll come down on the fuckwits that gave you detention harder than a stampeding hippo.
That's when you say **** it and apply to homeschool it's guaranteed acceptance and best of all they can't do a damn thing about it
Tell them to show you the video with your plates showing. If they can't do that then tell them there is no proof and you won't attend detention.
Go to the board of Ed and file a complaint. Have the school look at the recordings and search for a license plate number in the video. Sorry you're going through that OP
If it was just a detention or two, then fine, easier just to take time off from school. But eight weeks' worth? That has potential to screw up your education long-term. You need to get this straightened out now.
Detention is after school, so it really wouldn't impede his education, plus they typically allow students to do homework while there. It would only after any extra curricular activities like sports. or home time.
Ask to see security camera footage and show them pictures of your not jacked up tires. Otherwise, the superintendent of your school district would be the next step
That's some bullshit. I'm sorry, OP. Hope it all works out in the end.
