Everyone seems to assume the OP is female but I don't see that we know that. In any case, it's a pretty awful thing to think you are embarking on a lifetime of love and companionship only to have that ripped away. I can only assume the other-half genuinely thought they could be happy with the right person of either gender. FYL - & I hope it's not too messy to sort out.

My uncle came out after 2 kids and 13 years of marriage. I'll never understand that because even his brothers thought he was growing up,so if they knew,how did he not?
